Dr. Seanica Howe, DDS, MA
Dr. Seanica Howe received her doctorate of dental surgery degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City in 2000. She graduated with honors and was recognized for her academic excellence via membership in the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. While still attending dental school, she also held a teaching position in cell and molecular biology for incoming dental students and was a clinical teaching fellow at UMKC upon graduation. The following year, she entered her orthodontic residency at Nova Southeastern University and completed her certification in 2003.
Prior to establishing Howe Orthodontics in Key West, Dr. Howe owned, designed, and directed orthodontic practices in her home state of Missouri as well as in South Florida. Her love for esthetics and the art of orthodontics comes naturally and extends into her other interests as well.
While still maintaining an orthodontic practice in Miami, she trained in the fine arts at the Miami Art Institute where her early designs and drawings were recognized and displayed. In 2012, she received a master's degree in modern and contemporary art from the prestigious Christie's auction house in New York City. Dr. Howe has also worked as a freelance art writer and her series of articles based on the Art Basel fair in Basel, Switzerland, were published by the Miami New Times. She completed her first book, published by The Unbound Press, in 2021.
Dr. Howe's combination of training and talents in both the sciences and the arts are what make her an exceptional orthodontist, one whose eye for esthetics is reflected in the thousands of gorgeous smiles she has created over the course of her career. However, it's her compassion and commitment to her patients that makes her who she is...a woman committed to community, excellence, and purpose.
Grecia Markley - Operations Manager
Meet our operations manager, Grecia! She moved to Key West with her husband who serves in the U.S. Coast Guard. In her spare time, Grecia enjoys traveling to new places, going to the beach, and working out. One of her favorite after-work activities is watching the sunset. Grecia loves to live in the moment and any kind of adventure!! She has fallen in love with orthodontics and is so thankful to be apart of creating a new beautiful smile for all of our patients!
Katherine Lanfur Taylor - Clinical Coordinator
Katherine is from Los Angeles and has recently moved down to Key West with her 4 year old son and husband who serves in the U.S. Navy. She studied to be a dental assistant while they were stationed in Oklahoma City and is excited to be back by the ocean and away from the cold! In Katherine's free time she loves to go to the beach with her family and take her two giant dogs to the park. She is very excited to be living on Key West and start her orthodontic journey on this beautiful island!

When you walk into our office, Hayley's is the first face you will see! From the very beginning, she has felt like part of our tribe. Just like Grecia, Hayley was brought to the island by her husband who is in the U.S. Coast Guard. She's a born and raised New Yorker - specifically Long Island - so she is no stranger to being surrounded by the water. Hayley graduated in December 2021 from Stony Brook University with a a bachelors's degree in marketing and a minor in leadership development. In her spare time, she loves to play with her puppy, Mocha, or catch some sun out on the water. She has had orthodontic treatment in the past so she knows what our patients are experiencing and loves that she is able to work in the field!

Laura is our dedicated financial consultant, bringing over ten years of experience in the dental field to her role. As a proud mother of four and a military wife, she expertly balances her professional responsibilities with the joys and challenges of family life. Laura recently relocated to the stunning Florida Keys, where she can pursue her passion for dentistry in paradise. Laura understands the importance of financial planning in healthcare, making her a vital asset to the Howe Orthodontics team. With her unique blend of expertise and personal experience, she is dedicated to providing exceptional support to our patients. In her free time, Laura enjoys exploring the beautiful Keys with her family and embracing the vibrant community around her.
